This document explains how Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) distinguishes between
AI-generated and AI-assisted content and how neural style transfer fits within those definitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Amazon\u2019s Current Policy (as of 2025)<\/strong>
    KDP requires disclosure of AI-generated text, images, or translations when uploading or republishing a
    book. AI-generated content is defined as material created by an AI-based tool, even if you edit it later. If
    AI tools were used only to edit, refine, or enhance work that you originally created, that is considered
    AI-assisted content and does not require disclosure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Application to Neural Style Transfer<\/strong>
    Lunapic art effects tools use a technique called “Neural Style Transfer”. Neural style transfer applies the visual style of one image to another. It does not generate new content
    but modifies existing imagery. If you created the original artwork or photograph and only used neural
    style transfer to stylize or adjust it, the result is typically considered AI-assisted\u2014not
    AI-generated\u2014under KDP\u2019s current definitions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
